The Opportunity

Are you a go-getter? We‘re a venture-funded technology startup seeking an entrepreneurial, passionate, and highly motivated entry-level, Sales Development Representative (“SDR”) based in Stamford, CT.

This person will be responsible for contacting and qualifying inbound leads that come from marketing campaigns, as well as conducting highly strategic outbound sales prospecting to grow the business.

The Role

  • Build and grow a book of business.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Work with your supervisor to identify qualified target accounts, contact them, and schedule meetings for yourself and other senior execs.
  • Account Planning: Identify market opportunities and develop strategic account plans to find new accounts and grow the account list.
  • Inbound Qualification: Respond to marketing qualified leads within a defined timeline, qualify via email or phone, and set-up meetings, or handoff qualified leads to senior sales execs.
  • Social Selling: Use LinkedIn and Twitter to share and engage with industry content, target accounts, and prospects.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with your supervisor and senior sales execute to analyze goals, tactics, & results.
  • Internal Tools: Rigorous use and maintenance of sales CRM tools (ie., Salesforce.com, HubSpot, etc.) to manage and analyze all your workflow.

The Ideal Candidate

  • A hustler, an entrepreneurial leader who loves challenges and can stay resilient within a fast-paced technology startup environment;
  • One year of sales experience, or an exceptional, recent college grad, eager to take on more responsibility and dive into the advertising technology, startup world while launching a career in sales and marketing;
  • A people person. You love to develop and foster relationships and enjoy interpersonal interactions;
  • An optimist. and person of high character who knows the power of keeping a positive attitude within performance-driven environments;
  • A communicator. You’re a creative writer and communicator who loves public speaking and has demonstrated this throughout the course of your collegiate career;
  • “Quick on your feet” and able to adapt;
  • Has successfully sold products or services door-to-door or over the telephone and understand how to deal with rejection;
  • Learns fast and has great sales and marketing instincts: You have an analytical mindset and you’re able to understand and explain a technical product within a matter of weeks;
  • Is a well-organized, self-starting team player with strong emotional intelligence; and
  • A master of email, phone, LinkedIn, Twitter communications.
  • Nice to Have: Has used CRM, sales, marketing, and/or related software systems like Salesforce.com, Hubspot, et al.
